About The Event

Downstairs at the Orpheum with Urban Nocturnes

Urban Nocturnes is a professional chamber music ensemble founded by violinist Karen Sinclair and violist Christopher McKay. Based in Phoenix, AZ, their modular group is made up of six outstanding instrumentalists who are dedicated to exploring the vast classical chamber music repertoire and to presenting its works at the highest achievable level.

Urban Nocturnes believe live music is an essential part of a vibrant city, and that the audience is as integral to the performances as the players are. Whether performing music from the standard repertoire, obscure or underrated works, or brand new compositions, their aim is to provide concert experiences that appeal to diverse audiences and that demonstrate the unifying capability of creative activity.
