Right Where We Belong

FOTOT members have long touted the Orpheum as the “Crown Jewel of Downtown Phoenix.” Now the rest of the country is realizing it as well. Curbed.com, which writes about trends in real estate, fashion, and entertainment in a number of cities around the country (e.g. NYC, LA, Washington) recently published their list of the “21 Best Theatres in the Country.” Among the list were a couple of “givens”: the Disney Concert Hall (LA) and Radio City Music Hall (NYC). Also among the list is the Orpheum Theatre. It’s gratifying to see the Orpheum included on such an impressive list.

But that’s not all, folks. HGTV recently came to the Valley to plan for a show devoted to a new “smart” home in Scottsdale. As part of the show, the producers included a segment on three of the “cool” places to visit in the Valley – and again the Orpheum was selected.

You can find both of these items (and others on the Theatre) on our website (friendsoftheorpheumtheatre.org) in the “Press” section.
